Envy Construction builds homes meant to last generations. Founded in 2008 by Nick Voltolina — a craftsman who worked every role on the jobsite before starting the company — we've completed more than 150 custom homes, spec builds, and major renovations across Southern Maine, with an average project value above $1.5 million.

We are not a volume builder. We take on a small number of projects each year so every home receives the attention, craftsmanship, and project management it deserves. Our clients become friends. Our homes become the addresses where families build their lives.

Residential Services

Custom Home Construction

Ground-up custom homes on owner's land or a lot of our own. We work with your architect, bring one in, or handle design through our design-build approach. Budgets typically $1.2M–$5M+.

Major Renovations

Full-scale renovations of existing Southern Maine homes — often historic coastal properties where we strip to the studs, re-engineer the envelope, and rebuild with modern performance and finish.

Additions & Expansions

Structural additions, ADUs, second-story expansions, and substantial re-imaginings. We integrate the new structure so it reads as original — matching trim, roofline, material aging, and detail work.

Design-Build

A single team from design through move-in. Architecture, engineering, interiors, and construction under one accountable roof — plans stay buildable against a real budget.

Most builders subcontract excavation and mark it up. We own it. On a coastal lot with ledge, a high water table, or a difficult driveway, that can swing your budget by 10–15% and your schedule by months. It also means one accountable team from dirt to finish.

Our 10-phase process is documented, shared with clients before contract, and followed. You know what's happening this week, next week, and in month eight. Allowances are itemized. Change-order policy is clear.
